Wedlake Fabricating IES Infrastructure Solutions Title:  Mechanical Engineer Status:  Exempt  Reports To:  Engineering Manager Location:  Tulsa, OK   Summary:   The mechanical engineer is responsible to produce designs for generator enclosures, UL listed fuel tanks, sub-frames and service platforms. Direction will be given from the engineering manager through submittal drawings and schedule to carry out the detail production design. The ability to weld in multiple positions such as flat, horizontal, and vertical are a must.  Candidate must be skilled in welding fillet and butt weld joints and able to read/ interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions. Passing a weld test will be required for employment.   Responsibilities and Duties:   - Proficient use of basic hand tools such as grinder, cut-off wheel, and magnetic drill. - Ability to accurately read and interpret a tape measure (test will be required) - Experience in layout, measuring, and fitting metal components - Must be able to read and interpret manufacturing blue prints and weld symbols - Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions - Overhead Crane experience - Ability to lift and maneuverer metal components a minimum of 50 lbs.
